America’s hired hacks never tire of instilling its fear into us. They tell us that the US is “the sole super power,” when it itself no longer makes such a boast. (Now it is just one of G8, Group of eight major countries). And then they talk about isolation.
The hacks conveniently ignore our geographical location. India may be now an American lackey but China and Russia, our next door neighbors, are independent powers and their regional interests clash with those of the US. They have no intention of bowing before the US, nor want Pakistan to do it, irrespective of what the present obsequious government does.
So, the US can threaten us, but cannot do much harm. It cannot involve the UN because Russia and China have veto power. It cannot attack us because it has never invaded any country that can hit back or has the support of any major power. (Examples: North Korea, Syria, Iran)
Even its threat to stop aid will be hollow because it gives us nothing more than pittance. So, let us stand up to the bully and not bother much about its fury and fuming.
